Max Spinner is entering his 7th season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Keiser University. In his first six seasons, Coach Spinner has assisted the Seahawks to a 115-64 overall record. Additionally, he has helped Keiser make 4 NAIA National Tournament appearances. He has helped recruit two Sun Conference Players of the Year in Mark Gordon (2019) and Vincent Miskiewicz (2024). Coach Spinner also recruited 2024 Sun Conference Freshman of the Year, and NAIA’s leading assist player, Calvin Sirmans. In total, Coach Spinner has assisted and recruited 12 All Conference-Players, including 8 on the first team. He has recruited 3 All-Americans in five 5 years- Mark Gordon (2019 2nd Team), Core’Von Lott (2020 3rd Team), Vincent Miskiewicz (1st Team). Lastly, Coach Spinner was a part of 9 wins against the top 25, including a first round NAIA National Tournament win against Georgetown College, the previous NAIA national champion.
Prior to Keiser, Spinner served as the Head Coach at Boca Raton High School for five seasons, compiling 77 wins and leading the team to two state playoff appearances. He led them to their first District Championship in 50 years during the 2012-13 season. In addition, Spinner guided Boca to a pair of state playoffs while winning two conference championships.
As a player, Coach Spinner was the only two-time All-State basketball player at Boca Raton HS. He led the county in scoring as junior (23.4) and was second as a senior (21.0). Spinner went on to play four seasons at Westminster College, earning Honorable Mention All-Conference honors in 2009-10. As a freshman, he led the conference in three-point shooting percentage.

Tae Norwood, who boosts an overall head coaching record of 70-54, had this to say about being named the Head Men's Basketball Coach: "I am extremely excited to join the Palm Beach State College community. This basketball program is rooted with such great tradition and pride, so this is a humbling experience. I look forward to mentoring the young men who will represent Palm Beach State College proudly on the court, in the classroom, and in our community. I feel blessed and fortunate to be the head coach here and I'm excited to get to work with our guys and help them grow as men. I would like to thank President Parker, Vice President Barbatis, and John Scarpino for affording me this tremendous opportunity."
Tae Norwood was hired as the head men's basketball coach at Cal Poly Humboldt in the Summer of 2020. During the 2020-21 pandemic year, Norwood guided the 'Jacks to a 4-5 record. The men's basketball team posted their highest term grade point average in ten years.
Norwood earned his first head coaching job in 2019-20 when he took over the program at Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Fla. During the 2019-20 season his fast-paced style of play led the Seahawks to a 22-8 record, a share of the Conference regular season championship, and a spot in the NAIA Tournament. Keiser had three all-conference selections, including Sun Conference Player of the Year Mark Gordon. Norwood prides himself on ensuring student-athletes earn their degree. In the past ten years, he is proud to say he has been instrumental in achieving over a 95% graduation rate, with multiple academic all-conference honorees.
Norwood coached at Lynn University for six seasons, serving five as the associate head coach, and the Fighting Knights advanced to the South Region finals in 2015 and 2018. He was named the National Assistant Coach of the Year by Coach Stat in 2018. He gained experience for his run at Lynn with stints at Northern Michigan, Grambling State, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia Southern, Florida Southern, Bloomsburg and Milligan College.
Norwood was a four-year letter-winner at Green Mountain College, earning two all-conference selections and helping the Eagles win three conference championships. The program’s all-time leader in assists and steals, he was inducted into the Green Mountain Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016. He has a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Leisure Services from Green Mountain and a master’s degree in health and Kinesiology with a focus on coaching from Georgia Southern.
